This fan-created, fan-maintained wiki hopes to tap upon the general knowledge and collaborative help of Sios. Initially based on the CCC shop guide, it has evolved since then through the valuable inputs of the community.
It was created on 21 Feb 2008 and was originally launched as a beta site for the private use of Clan Kusanagi. With the goal to help the gaming community as a whole, it was released for public consumption in beta form on 20 April 2008, shortly two months after. It now aims to be considered full and complete along with the upcoming release of the full version of MWBS.
The webmaster can be contacted at louist@thecoffeespoon.net - feel free to drop an email if there's anything you would like to comment on regarding the wiki.
You can join the Google Group and automatically receive developer updates here. By doing so, you can be one of the very first in Sios to be aware of updated stats whenever they are implemented.
There is no obligation to do so, but we hope you can help update the wiki as well, if you have the time.
MWBS is a dynamic game and the details provided in this wiki are frequently becoming outdated. Anyone who is able to help contribute to it should feel free to do so - any wiki page can be edited by clicking 'Edit this page' at the top and bottom left of the page.
Specific pages that general members of the community might find enjoyable to edit are the Clans and Captains pages, especially the latter which does not require much in-depth knowledge of the game - it simply allows you to fill in the backstory of your captain.
The simplest way to create a page is to create a link on a currently-existing wiki page by enclosing it with double square brackets, as shown below.
[[Example link]]
You can then select the link, which will bring you to a page that claims that 'This topic does not exist yet'. You can then select the 'Create this page' option at the bottom left of the page.
Alternatively, you can enter the URL of the page you wish to create directly, but it is usually more sensible to make sure that new pages are linked to from a previously existing page.
It might be difficult for a person unfamiliar with wikis to edit the pages. Most of them are in plain text and are relatively simple to edit. The tables are slightly more complex, but specific values can be edited with relative ease. A syntax guide exists which details advanced options for editing the wiki, a link to this page is also available at the top of the edit window.
Due to repeated vandalism by unregistered users, you now need a wiki account to edit the wiki. You can register for an account by clicking 'Login' near the bottom-right of the page, and selecting Register on the page that follows (or clicking the supplied link).
If there are any problems registering your account, simply email louist@thecoffeespoon.net for help.
Any page edits you make while logged in will be marked as being authored by your username, rather than your IP address. You will also be given more options, such as the ability to mark an edit as a minor one, or to 'Subscribe Changes' and be notified by email when your subscribed page is edited.
You might have noticed that there are Google Adsense1) banners on every page in this wiki. Daily ad revenue is by no means in the hundreds (or even dollars, as of now), but every little bit helps toward paying web hosting costs. So if you see anything that interests you, please do feel free to explore the ads!
