Clan Wars

The clan war feature of Battle Stations is currently in Beta.

Objective: Obtain war points for your clan by sinking enemy fortresses. Rankings can be seen here.

Overview: Your clan may only participate if your clan fortress is not sunk. After a fortress has been sunk, it can be salvaged 36 hours later on weekdays and 5 hours later on weekends.

Tiers and Clan Power

There are three possible tiers a clan can be in dependent on Clan Power. The possible tiers are A, B, and C with tier A having the highest level of Clan Power. Clans can only attack other clans in the same tier. The rewards of clan wars also vary based on tier.

Clan Power

Clan Power1) is calculated as follows:

Clan Power = [ [sum(member level)]^4 /160000 + fortress level ] / 30

Clan power is recalculated and updated every week on Friday prior to the start of the weekend event.

Tiers

Tier5) classification based on Clan Power and corresponding clan war reward bonus multiplier are shown in the table below.

Attacking

Normal sailing conditions need to be met (ie. at least 50% HP remaining, sufficient APs). It costs 8 AP to clan war. In the 'Explore and Attack' sub menu, click 'Clan War (Beta)' - this menu is unavailable in Aeros port. If there are any defenders, you will be randomly matched with one. If there are no defenders, you directly attack the enemy fortress.

Engaging a defender: Battle proceeds like regular PVP. If attacker survives at the end of combat, the attacker is presented with the option of attacking the fortress directly in current conditions, or escaping.

Attacking the fortress: Attacker and fortress will exchange attack volleys until either side is sunk up to a maximum of three volleys. It can be compared to PVP'ing with a stationary target with a massive amount of HP. A fortress has 2 cannons which each fire once each volley. Fortress HP and cannon damage is dependent on fortress level. You must go 138 speed to make sure you hit the fort 160 is the minimum advised for rammers and people that use subcannons.

Attacking Strategies

Evasive: Equip your ship with you best weapons, your highest HP armor and an anchor, and go in attacking at 50 speed. This objective is to avoid exchanging volleys with the defender and survive with enough hp to attack the enemy fortress 3 times.

Rushing: The objective of rushing is to kill the defender. Equip your best weapons (you may want to use missiles to take out missile defenders), your highest HP armor, and all of your best speed equipment.

Defending

Every clan member has the option of becoming a defender. When an enemy attacks the fortress, a random defender is chosen to defend. Once a defender has been matched with an attacker, combat begins. Combat proceeds as in PVP with the attacker getting first strike.

The defender's job is to impede the attacker as much as possible either by sinking the attacker or inflicting enough damage such that the attacker has to escape combat to repair.

In the clan wars page, there is a description of how many defenders there are. An exact number is not given. Number of defenders in order of least to greatest: None, Squadron, Battle Group, Flotilla, Armada

Defender limitations

  • Once set as a defender you cannot attack the Clan fort (but can still attack/PvP).
  • Cannot be removed as a defender until your Clan fort is sunk.
  • Defenders will get +30 armor

General Defending Strategies

A defender should not be travelling too fast. If the attacker anchors down to minimum speed while the defender is travelling to quickly, the defender may not attack the attacker and fail to prevent a fortress attack.
