There are three basic character statistics that are increased every time you level up. Depending on your class, certain points are automatically allocated while some are manually added according to your preference (details here).
Most classes gain 4.5 stat points per level. Take note that the Commander gains 5 stat points per level, but is provided with lesser flexibility in customisation.
Below are the effects of each point allocation:
Increases the damage of main cannons by 0.5% per point.
Increases the damage of sub cannons by 0.4% per point.
Increases the damage of missiles by 0.5% per point. (Note that Navigation also increases missile damage, only the higher value is factored.)
Increases ship speed by 1 per point.
Increases the damage of melee weapons by 0.5% per point.
Increases the damage of missles by 0.35% per point. (Note that Gunnery also increases missile damage, only the higher value is factored.)
Increases ship armour by 1 every 25 points. (Note that Craft also increases armour by 1 every 10 points.)
You are allowed to redistribute your available stat points at any time, via the options menu.
You can only reset your stats once you reach level 10
The first reset is free. Subsequent resets will cost you one character level.
You will be unable to reset your stat points if you are at the minimum level required for your ship upgrade.
The reset cost of one character level is relatively cheaper at earlier levels, but much more costly at higher levels where it may take many days to gain a level.
Another free reset will be given when skills are implemented
1).
No stats point reset is allowed when characters are at levels that are a multiple of 10 (i.e. 10, 20, 30 etc)
Your class-allocated stat points will not be affected by the class reset. To change your class, you need to use the class reset option.
This deletes your character, ship, weapons and parts. Use with caution and only if you want to start fresh from level 0.
